French Bites helps you go deep on five tenses — présent, passé composé, imparfait, futur simple, and conditionnel présent — instead of spreading across every mood in a grammar index.

What we believe

French grammar lists twenty-one indicative tenses and more moods on paper. Everyday spoken and written French runs on a much smaller set. Most courses teach breadth; we teach depth — patterns, example sentences, and drill until the forms you actually use become automatic.

These five tenses cover the vast majority of everyday French — depth beats breadth.
